Music Presence is in a unique position to become a universal last.fm scrobbler for the desktop and to be the first ever competitor to Spotify's listen along with friends feature.
The app is already the uncontested standard for sharing your listening activity from any media player in your Discord status, which makes it the perfect candidate for these features.

Project timeline
Raise awareness of the project and find supporters to provide a stable income
Scrobbling is released
Feature-rich scrobbling for any media player on the desktop. Join the Beta on the Discord server
More scrobbling features are added
Features that didn't make it into the initial release are added and community feedback is integrated
Browser support is released
This is powered by a custom browser extension, which also lays the foundation for listening along with friends in the future
Listening along Beta
This will work by controlling a streaming service website with the browser extension. An official release date is not yet certain
Continued development on listening along and creating an open developer platform to integrate third-party apps with Music Presence
With a little bit of luck I might be able to partner with streaming services to bring listening along directly to your music app
With your support I could be independent of a corporate job and fully invest myself in making these features a reality. With the success of the app this far, the foundation is already laid.

Using this app since it released, maybe a month or so after it did... The developer is 100% reachable and listens to us when it comes to new features or even telling us that an idea we had isn't possible.
